 SIEMENS STROMBERG-CARLSON DEMONSTRATES
UNIQUE DISTANCE LEARNING APPLICATION AT SUPERCOMM 92
BOCA RATON, Fla., June 5 /PRNewswire/ -- At SUPERCOMM 92, to be held June 15 through 18 in Chicago, Siemens Stromberg-Carlson will demonstrate distance learning with a unique application of an on-screen dissection of the human body using A.D.A.M.(TM) Software (Animated Dissection of Anatomy for Medicine).
This networked distance learning application is made possible by the Siemens Stromberg-Carlson EWSM Cell Switching System, based on SMDS (Switched Multimegabit Data Service) technology, to link Apple Macintosh computers for remote classroom or individualized instruction.
During the demonstration, students in Ameritech's SuperSchool exhibit will participate in a biology lesson conducted by a teacher in the Siemens Stromberg-Carlson booth. The fully interactive, multimedia program from A.D.A.M. Software, Inc., enables the participants to dissect the human anatomy on their workstations. Developed in Atlanta, this state-of-the-art software has received numerous awards and praise from educators nationwide.
"With this technology, students can benefit from teaching resources at distant locations, and gain an educational advantage through an interactive network, capable of delivering one teacher's expertise to multiple sites," said Robert S. Cramer, co-founder and chairman of A.D.A.M. Software.
