SIEMENS INTRODUCES HIPATH 5300 COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM.
The HiPath 5300 communications system utilizes the Windows NT Embedded 4.0 operating system and hardware that has been optimized to integrate with the Siemens' HiPath 5000 software. The performance optimization between hardware and software components creates a system that is reliable, convenient to install and easy to maintain, optimized for use in small branch offices.
Windows NT Embedded 4.0 is specifically offered for embedded solutions requiring full Win32 APIs that are built on the X86 and PC architecture, and enables embedded developers to quickly build rich functionality and scalable solutions based on proven Windows NT technology. The modular design of Windows NT Embedded 4.0 allows hardware vendors to select only the features and functionality they need, giving them a platform optimized to support the single or limited functionality required by their device.
Central to the operation of the HiPath 5300 system is the HiPath 5000 call processing software. It provides call processing functionality and telephony features over IP and can be used in conjunction with existing PBXs - offering a affordable migration solution for customers who want to gradually switch to total IP communications.
