 SIDLEY & AUSTIN ANNOUNCES 15 NEW PARTNERS
 CHICAGO, April 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The international law firm of


Sidley & Austin announced today that 15 lawyers will become partners of the firm effective May 1.
 "At a time when the recession is hitting the legal profession hard, causing some other law firms to lay off partners, Sidley & Austin is very pleased that we are able to add partners," said R. Eden Martin, chairman of the firm's management committee.
 Sidley & Austin is a full-service law firm with 700 lawyers practicing in Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, London, Singapore and Tokyo. Today's announcement increases the number of partners worldwide from 266 to 281.
 The new partners are Willis Buck, Holly A. Harrison, Kevin J. Hochberg, Joseph T. McCullough, Anne E. Rea and Steve Sutherland in Chicago; Peter J. Sacripanti in New York; Robert L. Gulley, Mark E. Haddad, Mark D. Hopson and Mark D. Schneider in Washington, D.C.; and David W. Burhenn, Adam M. Handler and Joel G. Samuels in Los Angeles.
 Also, Lee M. Mitchell, formerly a partner in the firm's Washington, D.C. office and more recently president and chief executive officer of The Field Corporation, will rejoin the firm as a partner in Chicago.
