SIA Engineering awarded six-year contract by Airbus.

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2011 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

SIA Engineering Company Limited (SIAEC) on Tuesday announced it has signed a Tailored Support Package (TSP) contract with aircraft manufacturer Airbus.

The contract is for the maintenance of Singapore Airlines' additional fleet of 15 A330-300 aircraft which are being acquired from Airbus.

Under the terms of the contract, financial details of which were not disclosed, SIAEC will provide a range of MRO services, including transit and light maintenance checks, defect rectification, cabin maintenance, fleet management and heavy maintenance checks at the company's facilities in Singapore.

Singapore Airlines is scheduled to receive delivery of the A330-300 from 2013.
