SHOPKO STORES REPORTS NOVEMBER SALES

 GREEN BAY, Wis., Dec. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- ShopKo Stores, Inc. (NYSE: SKO), reported sales for the four weeks ended Nov. 27, 1993, increased 4.8 percent to $178.4 million from $170.3 million during the same period last year. Comparable store sales increased 0.5 percent.
 For the cumulative 43 weeks ended Nov. 27, 1993, total sales increased 1.8 percent to $1,328.7 million from $1,305.2 million for the same period last year. Comparable store a?les for the cumulative 43 weeks ended Nov. 27, 1993, increased 0.5 percent over the same period last year.
 ShopKo's third quarter ends Dec. 4, 1993. The company will release third quarter results in mid-December. ShopKo Stores, Inc. is a leading regional retailer operating 117 stores in 15 states. ShopKo stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "SKO."
