SHERATON CITY CENTRE HOTEL HOSTS POWER BREAKFAST
TO INTRODUCE 'NEW' ITT SHERATON CORPORATION
WASHINGTON, March 30 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sheraton City Centre Hotel, located at 1143 New Hampshire Avenue N.W., Washington, will host more than 150 of Washington's corporate power elite at a breakfast on Tuesday, March 31, at 8 a.m. to introduce the "new" ITT Sheraton Corporation and discuss details of the company's $1 billion investment in its North American properties. Guest speakers will include John Herold, ITT Sheraton executive vice president, president of North America operations; and Bob Monica, general manager of the Sheraton City Centre Hotel.
The breakfast -- part of ITT Sheraton Corporation's "Here Comes ITT Sheraton!", a multi-national sales effort to introduce the public to the "new and improved" ITT Sheraton -- is one of 150 key customer appreciation events taking place around the world between March 23 through April 3.
"The Sheraton City Centre is delighted to play a key role in 'Here Comes ITT Sheraton!' and host of this important event," said Monica.
"This is a very exciting time for the corporation -- and the Sheraton City Centre in particular. Since 1990, we have invested more than $6 million in renovations and refurbishment, culminating with the opening of our new Washington Grill Restaurant, which premieres this week," Monica added.
"These investments, coupled with a substantial increase in direct customer services, make us the most attractive hotel offering in Washington's prestigious West End district -- and now we are taking that message forward," he continued.
In addition to the customer appreciation breakfast, Sheraton City Centre employees -- including Monica -- will devote three full days making approximately 500 personal visits to prospective customers in the Washington business community. In total, 42,000 personal sales calls will be made by Sheraton employees worldwide as part of the "Here Comes ITT Sheraton!" effort to attract new business.
The Sheraton City Centre Hotel is a 351-room, first-class business hotel. Boston-based ITT Sheraton Corporation, a subsidiary of ITT Corporation (NYSE: ITT) is a worldwide network of nearly 450 owned, leased, managed and franchised properties operating in 62 countries.
