SFX BROADCASTING SUBSIDIARY ENTERS INTO LOCAL MARKETING AGREEMENT WITH WYHY-FM OF NASHVILLE, TENN.
NEW YORK, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- SFX Broadcasting, Inc. (NASDAQ: SFXBA) announced that its Capstar Communications subsidiary has entered into a Local Marketing Agreement, or LMA, with the owner of radio station WYHY-FM located in Nashville, Tenn. Capstar, which owns and operates radio station WSIX-FM in Nashville, will render various consulting services to WYHY-FM pursuant to the LMA. The owner of WYHY- FM also granted Capstar an option to buy the station. The company also announced that its Command Communications subsidiary has signed a letter of intent to sell the Spanish Information Services to Grupo Promomedios of Guadalajara, Mexico. The Spanish Information Services, a division of the Texas State Networks, provides Spanish language programming to a network of affiliated stations located in the Southwest. SFX Broadcasting, headquartered in New York City, owns and operates radio stations KRLD-AM, Dallas, Texas; KODA(FM), Houston, Texas; KJQY(FM), San Diego, Calif.; WSIX(FM), Nashville, Tenn.; WMYI(FM), WSSL- AM and WSSL(FM), Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.; WMSI(FM) and WJDS-AM, Jackson, Miss.; and The Texas State Networks, a group of regional radio networks. -0- 10/7/93 /CONTACT: Richard A.
