 ANNOUNCES $25 MILLION IN NEW CONTRACTS
 NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y., July 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Sevenson Environmental Services, Inc. (NASDAQ-NMS: SEVN) announced today that in the last 30 days it has received contracts for six new hazardous waste cleanup projects with a total value of over $25 million.
 The contracts are from various customers, both private and public sector, and are for projects located in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware and Louisiana. The cleanup work includes landfill closure, sludge solidification and waste removal. The projects, three of which are at Superfund sites, vary in size from $1.3 to $7.5 million.
 Sevenson President, Michael A. Elia, said, "The six projects we are announcing today result from the substantial increase in new project opportunities which we have seen this year vs. last year. This trend is continuing and we are hopeful that it will translate into further business."
 Sevenson provides a comprehensive range of field services for the remediation of sites and facilities contaminated by hazardous materials. The company, which is headquartered in Niagara Falls, operates in the United States and Canada. Since entering the site remediation business in 1979, the company has performed over 350 projects including projects at Love Canal and 32 other Superfund sites.
