SEVEN LOCAL ITT SHERATON HOTELS UNITE TO KICK OFF 'HERE COMES ITT SHERATON...MAKING HISTORY AGAIN' PHILADELPHIA, March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven ITT Sheraton hotels in the Greater Philadelphia area are uniting for an unusual kick-off event for the worldwide "HERE COMES ITT SHERATON" campaign, running from March 23 to April 3, which will introduce the world to the new ITT Sheraton. The campaign mobilizes everyone from the CEO to hotel-level Front Desk managers and chefs who will be making more than 42,000 face-to-face visits with prospective customers around the world and hosting more than 175 customer appreciation events. ITT Sheraton, which is already famous for many firsts in the hospitality industry, will be "making history again" through this campaign that will be the largest sales blitz ever undertaken by a U.S. company. On Monday, March 23, 40 local Sheraton employees dressed in colonial costumes will travel throughout the Delaware Valley in three historic trolleys to hand-deliver 3,000 bags of Sheraton coupons and cookies to the public. The trolleys, which will display banners saying "HERE COMES ITT SHERATON...Making History Again," will stop at City Hall where both local and Boston-based ITT Sheraton executives will meet with City Rep. Harvey Clark at 11:30 a.m. to deliver ITT Sheraton's message. In addition, the trolley caravan will stop at four area shopping malls including the Cherry Hill Mall at 1 p.m.; Franklin Mills Mall at 2:15 p.m.; the Exton Square Mall at 3:30 p.m. and the King of Prussia Shopping Complex at 4:15 p.m. Participating hotels in Greater Philadelphia include the Sheraton Hotel Bucks County, Sheraton Inn Great Valley, Sheraton Inn Northeast, Sheraton Poste Inn Cherry Hill, Sheraton Society Hill, Sheraton University City and the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel. ITT Sheraton will be setting new records in the hospitality industry through "HERE COMES ITT SHERATON" which is the largest sales initiative in the history of ITT Sheraton. In the Philadelphia area alone there are eight ITT Sheraton properties totalling more than 1,700 guest rooms and more than 1,800 employees.
