SERTA TAKES SLEEP SURVEY ON TOUR.

CHICAGO-Serta is hitting the road with a media campaign aimed at helping sleepy consumers.

More than half of Americans find it most difficult to fall asleep during the summer, according to a new survey conducted for Serta. Other sleep tidbits: 17 percent of Americans admit to falling asleep at work; anxiety or anger is the number-one reason for difficulty getting to sleep; and 45 percent of women cite snoring as the most annoying habit of their sleeping partner.

The media love bedtime stories, and Serta is taking its sleep survey on the road. The media tour launched in New York last week and is scheduled for bits on 25 television stations around the country. The story was also picked up by the Associated Press.

Last's year public relations campaign yielded about 120 million impressions, according to Tim Close, Serta's vice president of marketing communication.
