MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the close of futures trading this afternoon, the United States Department of Agriculture released its 1992-93 ending stocks and world crop production reports:
USDA 1993 U.S. All Wheat production was reported at 2.493 billion bushels. Other Spring wheat came in at .6284 billion bushels while Durum wheat reported at .77 billion bushels. Soybean production was reported at 1.909 billion bushels while the Corn production was reported at 7.229 billion bushels.
1993-94 ending stocks figures for major grains were estimated at: Wheat .708 billion bushels, Soybeans .215 billion bushels, and Corn 1.340 billion bushels.
USDA World Supply/Demand report for 1993-94 estimates showed former USSR grain crop at 198.9 million tons while former USSR grain imports came in at 29.2 million bushels.

The biggest surprise in today's USDA Supply/Demand Report was the projected decline in domestic and export demand. Wheat end of season stocks continued to increase even though the USDA forecasted a 60 million bushel reduction in Spring Wheat production. Overall Wheat supplies are becoming increasingly burdensome as a result of sagging demand.
