SEPTA RAILWORKS R6 EXPRESS BUS SERVICE CHANGES MONDAY

SEPTA RAILWORKS R6 EXPRESS BUS SERVICE CHANGES MONDAY
PHILADELPHIA, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- SEPTA will adjust Route R6

express bus service for the RailWorks-alternative trips between Norristown and Center City Philadelphia during weekday peak service hours only, starting Monday, June 22, SEPTA said today.
The new schedule will reflect the changes in ridership patterns at the three Route R6 stations in Norristown (Elm Street, Main Street and the Norristown Transportation Center) since the start of RailWorks.
There will be a decrease in the number of morning trips leaving from Elm Street Station and afternoon trips from center city Philadelphia. However, there will be an increase in the number of buses stopping at Conshohocken Station enroute. This increase is due to steady "reverse commute" ridership to and from Conshohocken Station.
In the morning, more outbound (to Norristown) buses will stop at Conshohocken and in the afternoon more inbound (to Philadelphia) buses will stop there enroute to Philadelphia.
SEPTA said that the new timetable is available now at Center City train stations and in Norristown.
