SEPTA, FRANKLIN MILLS MALL AND SMITHKLINE BEECHAM TO SPONSOR CHILDREN'S HEALTH FORUM

 PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- SEPTA will join with SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals and Franklin Mills Mall to sponsor a "Children's Health Forum" at the Mall from Sunday, Sept. 12, through Sunday, Sept. 19, SEPTA said today.
 While the focus of the forum will be on children's health issues the forum will also feature demonstrations, guest celebrity appearances, a children's health art exhibit and musical entertainment.
 SEPTA will provide transportation to the opening ceremony for invited guests including first lady Hillary Clinton and participants from the Special Olympics, as well as entertainment by the SEPTA Junctionaires singing group.
 In addition, a 60-foot-long SEPTA articulated bus will serve as the staging area for the SEPTA "Children's Theater" from noon to 6 p.m. each day. The theater will include a giant SEPTA coloring board, a special SEPTA uniform try-on booth where parents can take pictures of their children in complete SEPTA bus driver and train conductor uniforms, special performances by Spence-the-Magician (actually SEPTA employee George Spence) and a SEPTA Police Department safety demonstration.
 SEPTA will also have a special information booth open daily at the mall from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
