SEN. WOFFORD MAKES GOOD ON CAMPAIGN PLEDGE
U.S. Sen. Harris Wofford (D-Pa.) will fulfill a pledge he made when

visiting Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh on Nov. 2, 1991, during the last days of his victorious campaign.
At the time of his visit to Mercy's emergency department, the senator indicated that he would like to return to the hospital and convene a roundtable discussion on national health care, the flagship issue of his campaign. On Monday, Dec. 16, he will do just that.
Beginning at 2 p.m., the senator will meet with a group of about 12 Mercy employees representing a cross-section of disciplines including administration, medical staff, nursing, etc. The discussion will be held in the Mercy Hospital board room and is expected to last for an hour and a half.
