SEG takes over Virtus Consulting.
18 October 2012 a[euro]" US business consultancy and professional recruitment company SolomonEdwardsGroup LLC (SEG) has made its first acquisition in the shape of Virtus Consultants Inc (Virtus Consulting).
SEG did provide any information on deal specifics apart from saying that the transaction was finalised on 1 October 2012.
Virtus Consulting was established in 2007 by its president Jim Garner and has its corporate headquarters in the Washington DC Metro area. Its portfolio of services includes accounting, internal audit, risk management and business process reengineering. Virtus serves companies of all sizes in various industries, with a special focus on financial services, energy and technology. Garner joins SEG as partner at its DC branch.
The acquisition reflects SEGa[euro](tm)s ongoing commitment to enhancing its service capabilities for the accounting and finance sectors. The deal will immediately increase and strengthen its talent pool and services for finance and energy operators. President and chief executive Edward S Baumstein expressed great enthusiasm about the addition of Garner to the SEG roster, noting that his expertise and the clients he brings will help the company expand its DC Metro business.
Aside from bringing new clients to SEG, the acquisition adds key subject matter experts to its team. This will strengthen the companya[euro](tm)s ability to serve clients not only in the DC Metro area but also nationally.
