 LONDON, Nov. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective Jan. 1, 1993, Lord

Fanshawe will be chairman of the Sedgwick Group plc, the major international insurance brokerage firm. Commenting no Lord Fanshawe's appointment, Sax Riley, chief executive said, "This follows our announcement in July that David Rowland would be leaving Sedgwick having offered himself for election to the Council of Lloyd's of London. During his time as a non- executive director, Lord Fanshawe has made a considerable contribution to the group and has done much through his chairmanship of Sedgwick Development Ltd. to maximize business development opportunities and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Lord Fanshawe was elected member of Parliament for Richmond in 1959 and served as a minister in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 1970 to 1974, as deputy to Sir Alec Douglas-Home.
