 SECURITY ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS INC. ANNOUNCES
 AWARD OF GOVERNMENT DISPOSAL CONTRACT
GARDEN GROVE, Calif., Jan. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Security Environmental Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: SENV), which provides medical and hazardous waste disposal and transportation services, announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Defense Logistics Agency for hazardous waste disposal services at Camp Pendleton, Calif. The contract term is for one year with a one-year option. The value of the contract for the first year is approximately $1.2 million. The company believes the value of the contract could exceed $1.6 million for the first year if certain additional disposal requirements are added to the contract. The second year of the contract includes price escalator clauses which could substantially increase the value of the contract when compared to the first year.
William Somers, general manager, Hazardous Division, said, "This contract is the beginning of the company's expansion into the government waste disposal area. The company has submitted other government contract bids. The value of these contracts exceeds $18.8 million. We believe the company has an excellent chance of being awarded these contracts since at this time the company is in the best and final offer phase on a portion of the contracts."
