SECRETARY RHODES TO SHOW VIDEOTAPE ON MAMMOGRAMS

SECRETARY RHODES TO SHOW VIDEOTAPE ON MAMMOGRAMS
Secretary of Aging Linda M. Rhodes will show a portion of a

videotape encouraging older women to have regular mammograms at a news conference at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 14, at the Rutherford House Senior Center, 3300 Parkview Lane, Harrisburg, Pa.
The videotape was produced by the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia, and the Department of Aging. Rhodes said the videotape should help alleviate concerns of older women, who are wary of mammograms because they're uncertain of what a mammogram involves.
Copies of the tape will be circulated to senior centers and other interested groups across Pennsylvania.
Joining Rhodes at the news conference will be Dr. Mary A. Simmonds, an oncologist, and Janice McElroy, executive director of the Pennsylvania Commission for Women.
The Rutherford House Senior Center is located just off Paxton Street near the Harrisburg East Mall.
 Media coverage is encouraged.
