SECP conducts investment awareness seminar.
ISLAMABAD -- The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has organized an investment education seminar for the students of COMSATS Institute of Information Technology.
The seminar was conducted under the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between COMSATS and SECP, said a press release here Friday.
The seminar focused on SECP's role for increasing awareness about financial markets operations and fraud prevention.
Another key feature of the program focused on educating the students about the Jamapunji portal, Pakistan's first gateway to investor education and investment products to enhance students understanding of the process of investing and trading in the stock market.
A mock trading competition was also held for university students through the Jampunji platform to help students learn about building and analyzing investment portfolios.
In addition, SECP was also actively pursuing a public message media campaign under the brand name Jamapunji, aimed at increasing awareness about the investment environment, processes and products available to existing and potential investors.
