SECOM GENERAL CORPORATION COMPLETES SALE OF TRI-TEC PLASTICS ASSETS

 LIVONIA, Mich., Nov. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Secom General Corporation (NASDAQ-NMS: SECM) announced today that it has completed the asset sales for its Tri-Tec Plastics unit and thereby ceasing its unprofitable bottle and cap manufacturing business segment. The transactions were previously announced on Oct. 25, 1993.
 Management estimates that Secom will record a loss of $2.4 million, or 84 cents per share, said a company spokesman. Tri-Tec's operating results will be reclassified to discontinued operations for all periods presented.
 For the nine months ended June 30, 1993, Tri-Tec recorded sales of $5.26 million and an approximate net loss from operations of $443,000, or 15 cents per share.
 Secom operates five subsidiaries in two areas of basic manufacturing: metal parts forming and toolmaking, serving principally the automotive, trucking, consumer and construction industries.
