 SEC DONOHUE ACQUIRES ASSETS FROM WESTINGHOUSE ENVIRONMENTAL
 AND GEOTECHNICAL SERVICES
 OAK BROOK, Ill., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. (NYSE: WTI) announced today that its SEC Donohue Inc. subsidiary acquired the environmental consulting business formerly conducted by Westinghouse Environmental and Geotechnical Services, Inc.
 The acquired business includes 280 engineers, scientists and technicians employed at eight locations in Deerfield Beach, Tampa and Orlando, Fla.; Atlanta, Ga.; Columbia, S.C.; Raleigh, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; and Cincinnati, Ohio. Terms of the transaction were not released.
 A wholly owned subsidiary of Wheelabrator Technologies and a member of the Waste Management, Inc. family of companies, SEC Donohue provides a full range of environmental and infrastructure engineering and consulting services to commercial and industrial organizations as well as federal, state and municipal governments.
 "This transaction will bring to Wheelabrator Technologies additional engineering talent and capability to complement our growing environmental engineering, consulting and infrastructure design business," said Rodney Gilbert, president and chief operating officer of Wheelabrator Technologies. "These increased resources will afford us the further means to serve our expanding customer base." With the acquisition, SEC Donohue now employs more than 2,000 professionals in more than 50 locations nationwide.
