SEATTLE FIRE DEPARTMENT NOTIFIES NEIGHBORHOODS OF INCREASED ARSON
SEATTLE, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seattle Fire Department announced today it began notifying residents of the Ballard and Mount Baker neighborhoods to take steps to protect their property from arson. Fire fighters going door-to-door distributed leaflets in response to a number of fires which occurred this past weekend in the two neighborhoods.
Residents of both Ballard and Mount Baker are being advised to secure their property by locking doors and windows, and to remove combustible materials from the exterior of buildings. Fire fighters also recommend leaving both interior and exterior lighting on during hours of darkness.
