SEARHC programs earn accreditation.

The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium Behavioral Health Division received a three-year accreditation from an international industry accrediting organization. CARF International, originally known as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, is an independent nonprofit organization. The accreditation assessed SEARHC's behavioral health programs including Yeil Jeeyax-Raven's Way, a residential substance abuse treatment program for Alaska youth based in Sitka; Gunaanasti-Bill Brady Healing Center/Deilee Hit-Safe Harbor House, two aligned regional residential substance abuse treatment programs in Sitka for Native American adults; the Community Family Services program, a village-based outpatient and prevention program with centers in Angoon, Haines, Hoonah, Hydaburg, Juneau, Kake, Klawock, Klukwan, Pelican, Petersburg and Sitka; and the Haa Toowoo Naakw Hit-House for Healing Your Inner Being, an outpatient mental health clinic in Sitka and the consortium's center for telebehavioral health. The accreditation marks the first time the Juneau Behavioral Health Clinic and Haa Toowoo Naakw Hit outpatient behavioral health clinic have been through the accreditation process. CARF previously certified the three substance-abuse treatment programs and Community Family Services.
