 SEAGRAM NAMES DONARD GAYNOR VICE PRESIDENT-AUDIT
 NEW YORK, Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Joseph E. Seagram & Sons, Inc.,


the U.S. subsidiary of The Seagram Company Ltd. (NYSE: VO), today announced the appointment of Donard Gaynor as vice president, audit. Mr. Gaynor will report to Stephen E. Banner, senior executive vice president of The Seagram Company Ltd., and will be based in New York.
 Mr. Gaynor joins Seagram from Price Waterhouse and brings nearly 15 years of financial experience in serving multi-national corporations. For a number of years, he has headed the Price Waterhouse audit team responsible for the Seagram account. In his new position, he will direct an expanded internal audit group which will grow from 13 to 20 professionals.
 "We are pleased to have someone with Donard's background join our financial team," said Mr. Banner. "His extensive involvement with Seagram during his tenure with Price Waterhouse, as well as his broad background in financial and accounting matters, will make him an important contributor to our management group," he added.
 Mr. Gaynor joined Price Waterhouse in 1978, and served in increasingly responsible audit positions, culminating in his admission as a Partner in 1989. In addition to being Client Service Partner for Seagram, he was also the partner directing marketing and communications for the Metro-New York region. Prior to that, he was Regional Recruiting Partner.
 He was educated at Sligo Regional College in Ireland and became a Chartered Accountant. He is also a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Gaynor resides in Scotch Plains, New Jersey with his wife and three children.
