SEAGRAM BEVERAGE COMPANY APPOINTS J. PATRICK KENNY
AS VICE PRESIDENT OF ITS SEAGRAM MIXER UNIT
NEW YORK, April 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seagram Beverage Company today announced the appointment of J. Patrick Kenny as vice president and general sales manager of the newly-formed Seagram Mixer Group. Kenny will report directly to C. Richard Coffey, president of the Seagram Beverage Company.
Coffey commented on Kenny's appointment by stating, "Selecting Patrick Kenny to lead this business unit was an obvious choice to make after we established the requirements for the market positioning of Seagram's Mixers. Mr. Kenny's proven track record, his professionalism and his superb people skills are just what is needed to move this business forward."
To capitalize on the synergies of the Seagram Beverage Company's knowledge and expertise in the low-alcohol and non-alcohol beverage industry, Seagram recently consolidated the operations of its Premium Beverages, Inc., unit into those of the Seagram Beverage Company.
Kenny joined the Seagram Beverage Company in 1984 as regional manager of the central division and assisted in the company's development of its wine cooler business. In 1987, he was named director of national chain sales. Prior to joining Seagram, he served as a sales representative with Scott Paper Co.
A 1979 graduate of Georgetown University, Kenny received his M.A. degree in 1981 from St. John's University. He currently resides in Ridgefield, Conn., with his wife and four children.
