SCT UTILITY, AGUA DE MEXICO SIGN CONTRACT FOR BANNER CUSTOMER INFORMATION SYSTEM

COLUMBIA, S.C., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SCT Utility Systems, Inc., a division of Malvern, Pa.-based Systems & Computer Technology Corp. (SCT) (NASDAQ: SCTC), announced today that it will provide Agua de Mexico, Mexico City, with its BANNER Customer Information System (CIS) for Utilities.
BANNER CIS software will assist Agua de Mexico in supplying high-quality water utility services to 300,000 Mexico City households. Commissioned by the Federal District of Mexico City to supply these services, Agua de Mexico is a joint venture between North West Water International, Ltd., Warrington, England -- the world's fourth-largest water company and the second-largest in the U.K. -- and Grupo Gutsa, a leading Mexican enterprise.
BANNER CIS, part of SCT's BANNER Series for Utilities, includes comprehensive billing, customer account management, and related business functions. Based on a fourth-generation language, it will operate in a client/server, open architecture environment for Agua de Mexico.
"In service to Agua de Mexico's utility customers, SCT will provide an innovative, down-sized customer information system that is both service- and information-oriented," said SCT Utility Systems president Ralph Lousteau. "Because BANNER CIS permits accurate billing, rapid response to inquiries, and careful resource management, it will allow Agua de Mexico to optimize communications with its customers."
"As we celebrate our first quarter-century in business, SCT is making a strong name for itself in service to large utilities," noted Michael J. Emmi, the company's chairman and chief executive officer, "and we are particularly excited about the global aspects of our partnership with Agua de Mexico."
The BANNER Series for Utilities also includes systems for human resources and finance. In addition to providing software and services to the utility industry, SCT is a leading provider of administrative applications software and facilities management services in the higher education and local government markets.
