SCRIPPS HOWARD BROADCASTING COMPLETES SALE OF PORTLAND RADIO STATIONS

 CINCINNATI, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Scripps Howard Broadcasting (NASDAQ: SCRP) today said it has completed the sale of its Portland, Ore., radio stations, KUPL AM and FM, to San Francisco-based BayCom Oregon L.P. The company announced the sale, valued at $23 million, on Aug. 3.
 The company recently completed the sale of WMC FM and AM and WMC-TV in Memphis, Tenn., and WVRT FM in Baltimore.
 Following this sale, Scripps Howard Broadcasting, an 86-percent owned subsidiary of The E.W. Scripps Company (NYSE: SSP), will operate nine television stations.
