SCOTT WORLDWIDE LAUNCHES STATE-OF-THE-ART COUNTER MOUNTED SOAP SYSTEM;
 REVOLUTIONARY NEW DESIGN ELIMINATES TRADITIONAL WASHROOM PROBLEMS
 PHILADELPHIA, June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Believe it or not, the attractiveness and functionality of an office building's washroom is one of the key influences in a tenant's decision to choose a commercial space.
 In an effort to help building owners maximize their washroom's appeal, Scott Worldwide has introduced the first and only counter mounted cartridge soap system called SureTouch(TM) (Scott-Booth No. 602). The new patented design utilizes a fully enclosed cartridge system to eliminate the clogging, leaking, rusting and corroding problems of typical existing counter mounted soap systems. SureTouch, the newest product to be added to the Sani-Fresh(R) line, is designed with a refill tube that runs all the way through the dispensing nozzle of the existing counter mounted hardware so soap never touches the dispenser.
 "In today's office building market more than 70 percent of all 'Class A' office buildings and 40 percent of all other office buildings use recessed, counter-mounted soap dispensers with bulk soap because this kind of system is considered to be the most aesthetically acceptable system on the market," said John Elicker, marketing manager at Scott Worldwide's Commercial Business Unit. "A recent study of the office building market, however, has revealed that tenants and other users consistently complain about soap in the washroom and office building managers concur that it is their biggest problem because traditional systems are always in need of maintenance and/or replacement due to the effect the soap has on the metal components." Licker added that Scott is predicting that SureTouch will eliminate complaints from tenants and other users about poorly functioning soap systems. It's another example of Scott innovation at work.
 Typical problems that arise from excess soap scum build-up include: clogging, leaking and dripping which requires soaking, flushing and re- assembling and corrosion from soap build-up which requires rebuilding or replacing the entire dispenser. In addition, there is a great deal of inconvenience and mess created from trying to refill "under the counter" soap reservoirs that are difficult to access. All of these problems mean added time for the maintenance staff, money for the building operator and complaints from tenants.
 "SureTouch is a solution to all of these problems -- a real counter revolution," added Elicker. "Its innovative design enables simple, easy refilling -- there's no pouring involved so there's no chance for spillage, and its design also eliminates dispenser break-down and repair maintenance because soap never comes into direct contact with the dispenser itself."
 In addition, SureTouch soaps are concentrated to last a long time. Each 700 ml. refill lasts longer than ordinary liquid soap -- saving maintenance people many trips to the bathroom. The SureTouch system will initially be available with two soaps that are consistent with the highest quality of Sani-Fresh products. The SureTouch lotion soaps are available in a pearlized lavender color with a floral fragrance or a clear golden color with a citrus-floral fragrance. Both provide thick, smooth, full lathering with pleasant aromas.
 Scott Worldwide produces and markets commercial products on a worldwide basis that are designed to help reduce maintenance time and costs while improving the image perception of customers. Consistent with environmental needs of the '90s, Scott continues to lead the effort to eliminate unnecessary packaging at a time when reducing waste has become so important. Commercial products include toilet and facial bathroom tissue, roll and folded towels, dispensing systems, and Sani- Fresh soap products and dispensers.
