SCORPION STINGS WOMAN AT AIRPORT.

A WOMAN was stung by a scorpion when she put her hand into her jacket pocket after getting off a flight last night.

The 25-year-old, who has not been named, had just arrived at Manchester Airport from Mexico.

An airport spokesman said she was waiting for her bags when she put her hand in her jacket pocket - and was stung.

'Our emergency medical team attended and she was taken to hospital,' said a spokesman. 'She was suffering from shock.' The scorpion was collected by the RSPCA, whose officers had to liaise with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
