SCIMED ANNOUNCES LAWSUIT MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- SCIMED Life Systems, Inc.
(NASDAQ-NMS: SMLS) announced today that it has been served with a lawsuit seeking to recover damages allegedly suffered by holders of put and call options.
The two individual plaintiffs are seeking to become class representatives of those persons who purchased or sold option contracts from June through September 1991. The Company believes that this lawsuit, based essentially on the same claims as the current shareholder action, is without merit, and it will be vigorously defended. The matter has been referred to counsel. SCIMED Life Systems, Inc. develops, manufactures, and markets disposable medical devices, principally coronary angioplasty catheters, for interventional treatment of coronary artery disease.
