SCIENTIFIC SOFTWARE-INTERCOMP INC. ANNOUNCES ELECTION OF EDWARD O. PRICE JR. TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

 DENVER, May 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Scientific Software-Intercomp Inc. (NASDAQ: SSFT) announced the election of Edward O. Price Jr. to the SSI board of directors. The election took place during the May 12, 1993, board of directors meeting.
 Price was employed by Chevron Oil Co. and Saudi Aramco for more than 37 years until his retirement in 1990. For the last 11 years he held various executive positions with Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, including vice president of Petroleum Engineering and vice president of Exploration and Producing. Prior to that time he held various management positions in Chevron's operations in the United States, Australia and Iran. He is currently a private investor and consultant and is a director of First National Bank -- Mexia, Texas, Bee-Line Services and Middle East Services. He received bachelor of science degrees in both petroleum engineering and geological engineering from Texas A&M University and completed course work for an M.S. degree from the same school.
 Dr. Breitenbach, chairman of the board of directors, stated that he spoke for all the other board members in being very pleased that an executive of Price's stature would joint their team.
