 SCIENTIFIC SOFTWARE-INTERCOMP ANNOUNCES MAJOR NEW CONTRACTS
 DENVER, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Scientific Software-Intercomp Inc. (NASDAQ: SSFT) (SSI) is pleased to announce the recent award of two consulting studies by the Kuwait Oil Co. These studies will assist Kuwait Oil in quantifying the losses of oil and gas from multiple reservoirs in four fields due to damage caused by the Iraqi army. In addition, SSI will provide guidelines for modifications and enhancements to field development programs. These studies will require multi-disciplinary teams working in SSI's Denver and Calgary offices for a period of 12-24 months and software installations in Kuwait.
 SSI also announced the award of a contract to provide turn-key application software to assist in the management of CAMPSA's entire pipeline network from a centralized control facility. CAMPSA operates a 4,500 mile long integrated network of petroleum product pipelines in Spain. This contract is in collaboration with SAINCO of Madrid, Spain. The primary components of the software system include real- time hydraulic modes, leak detection and monitoring capability and a batch tracking system. The project was initiated in April with completion scheduled by the end of 1993.
 The total value of the three contracts is $5.2 million. Including these contracts, the company's backlog as of May 31, 1992 is approximately $14,500,000, an increase from $11,900,000 at Dec. 31, 1991.
