SCIENTIFIC ATLANTA TO SUPPLY DIGITAL AUDIO EQUIPMENT FOR DMX MUSIC SERVICE IN EUROPE

 LONDON, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- International Cablecasting Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: TUNE) (ICT) and Scientific-Atlanta Inc. announced today, that Scientific-Atlanta will supply equipment under a manufacturing license agreement for the cable distribution of Digital Music Express (DMX) service in Europe.
 ICT also announced that it plans to launch DMX through its European company, ICT Europe, commencing on March 15 in several European markets, including the United Kingdom, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.
 As a leading supplier of cable electronics, Scientific-Atlanta already provides DMX tuners and headend systems in theO Sony-Philips, CD-standard digital sound and is available 24 hours a day, without any interruptions, commercials or disc jockeys. Subscribers receive the DMX service through a special DMX tuner and the DMX-DJ remote control, which are manufactured by Scientific- Atlanta. The DMX-DJ has a liquid crystal display that shows the name of the artist, album title, CD catalogue number, chart position and record label information. In the United States, DMX is offered by cable operators nationwide to a potential of 10 million homes.
 In a news conference at the Lanesborough Hotel, London, Jerry Rubinstein, founder, chairman and chief executive officer of ICT, said, "Scientific-Atlanta and ICT have worked successfully to develop a dominant position in digital cable music services in the United States. I am delighted that we are extending our relationship to the European market."

 The digital audio equipment manufactured by Scientific-Atlanta consists of high-speed digital satellite and cable transmission equipment, the Model DMT-2000 in-home tuner and the very popular DMX- DJ remote control.
 Los Angeles-based ICT is backed by some of the North American cable industry's leading players, including Tele-Communications Inc. (TCI), Scientific-Atlanta, Viacom, KBLCOM, Scripps Howard, Colony Communications, Crown Media Inc. and Shaw Cablesystems of Canada. Scientific-Atlanta holds a 10 percent stake in ICT.
