SCIENCE DYNAMICS SIGNS TWO-YEAR CONTRACT WITH U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS
 FOR INMATE TELEPHONE SYSTEM
CHERRY HILL, N.J., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Dynamics Corporation (NASDAQ: SIDY) has signed a two-year agreement with U S West Communications, Inc. for the Collect Call Timing Device (CCTD).
The CCTD is an inmate telephone control and administration system designed to manage up to 384 telephones; large federal and state correctional facilities, large to medium size county prisons, and small local jails. The CCTD reduces fraud and annoyance calls by giving correctional facilities the ability to better manage inmate telephone service. The CCTD will be deployed at multiple locations within U S West Communications' 14 Western and Midwestern states. U S West Communications provides communications and data services to more than 25 million residential and business customers in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
The CCTD can be programmed to activate a wide variety of features that control inmate access to the public telephone network. With implementation of the CCTD system, a prison or jail administrator is able to set time limits on calls, restrict which phone numbers may be dialed, and control when individual phones are turned on or off. An inmate Personal Identification Number (PIN) system also can be administered by the CCTD to control the telephone usage of individual inmates. Administrative reports can be generated in various formats to produce detailed records of phone calls placed through the CCTD system.
Science Dynamics Corporation designs and manufacturers telecommunications products that provide Voice Announcements, Intelligent Network Control and Administration, Enhanced Network Security, Interactive Communications, and Call Processing and Response capabilities to public telephone networks, domestic and foreign. Science Dynamics has more than 14,000 units of various types in operation in all RBOCS and major independent telephone companies. Science Dynamics' stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market (OTC).
