SCHOOL'S SHAME.

Byline: IAN PAISLEY JNR

WHILE I can't condone the lifestyle choice of Margaret McCluskey and her early teen pregnancy, I certainly can admire her bravery to stand up for her rights as a woman and as a mother.

The discrimination and outright hypocrisy of Mount Lourdes Catholic Grammar School in Enniskillen must have been a body-blow to a young woman at a difficult time in her life.

You would have thought a school that boasts a Christian ethos would at least have been compassionate enough to give its pupil support even though they may have disagreed with the moral choices she had made.

What other institution that hides murdering priests, conceals paedophiles and now abandons children in need could get away with such spiteful hatred of its own? I tremble at the cruelty of such a system that has the love and compassion of a stone and fails to live up to those simple words of Jesus Christ "suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for if such is the kingdom of heaven".
