SCHOLARSHIPS OPEN TO YOUTHS.

Byline: Daily News

SANTA CLARITA - A new college scholarship fund has been created for graduating seniors from all local Santa Clarita Valley high schools.

The scholarship program, created by the William S. Hart PONY Baseball and American Softball Association Softball, is made possible through the organizations' hosting of annual baseball and softball tournaments at the William S. Hart Complex.

The scholarship will reward excellence in baseball and softball while promoting academic success. The scholarship is available to athletes who have participated in the program for at least three years, including two years in the under-12 level and one year in the 14-and-younger level.

Applications for the scholarship are available through the guidance counselor's offices at Hart, Valencia, Saugus and Canyon high schools.
