SCHENKEIN/SHERMAN PUBLIC RELATIONS PROMOTES TWO EMPLOYEES

 DENVER, June 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Schenkein/Sherman Public Relations promoted Sheryl Ostrich Barto to senior account executive and Carrie Hugus to account executive. The two were the key account members on the award-winning Coors "Literacy. Pass It On." program, earning a 1993 Silver Anvil.
 Barto received a bachelor of arts in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and was a communications intern with IBM. Previous to her two years at Schenkein/Sherman she handled national and local public relations at Aspen Skiing Co. She later worked for Coors Brewing Co. where she created and published the first bilingual newsletter to Hispanic retailers. Her five years of public relations experience includes work on community affairs, travel and tourism and local government issues. As a senior account executive Barto will manage several Schenkein/Sherman clients including Coors "Literacy. Pass It On.", KMGH-COLORADO'S 7 and Rose Medical Center.
 Hugus earned a bachelor of arts in public relations from Ft. Lewis College in Durango and interned with Purgatory Ski Resort before joining Schenkein/Sherman two and a half years ago. Her public relations experience includes previous work as a Mile High United Way account executive with concentrated efforts on local fundraising, cause marketing, tourism, and promotions. As an account executive, she will continue to work on Coors "Literacy. Pass It On." and manage Reynolds Aluminum Recycling and Reynolds Metals Co. accounts.
