 SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS FOR THE SUPERMARKET INDUSTRY
 CANOGA PARK, Calif., April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Scanning Management Systems ("Scanning") today announced they will exhibit their entire line of POS Plus(TM) software solutions for the supermarket industry during the Supermarket Industry Convention and Educational Exposition at Chicago's McCormick Place, May 3-6, 1992. Attendees and the press are invited to visit Booth No. 6812/lobby level to see demonstrations of the most sophisticated in-store decision support systems available.
 Another Scanning highlight will be the introduction of their POS Plus Zone Pricing module for the NCR Tower. The new module provides the user a program that allows the host to maintain pricing by zone, and to create ad batches for transmission to every store. The Zone Pricing module will be demonstrated in TEC's Booth No. 1426. TEC is one of Scanning's business partners.
 Scanning's exhibit in Booth No. 6812 features their POS Plus family of software products which includes In-Store Management; Cash Management; Scale Management; the recently announced CASH-ier module; Panel Data Capture; DSD/Receiving; the NCR 1255 Controller Replacement and Scanning's unique Passive Data Collection System.
 Scanning will also display their POS Plus Scale Management module linked to the scale products of three business partners -- Toledo/Booth No. 3236, Ishida/Booth No. 1046 and TEC/Booth No. 1426.
 Scanning is a software firm that for more than 12 years has specialized in the development of in-store applications for use within supermarkets.
