SBN hands over soccer kits.
Standard Bank Namibia handed over the soccer kits to the players of Black Africa and African Stars yesterday as a run up to the Standard Bank Super Cup soccer match that will be played this Friday at the Sam Nujoma Stadium.
Thaddius Maswahu, Head Marketing of Standard Bank Namibia said that the anticipation of the kick of between the winners of the domestic League, Black Africa and the Bidvest Cup African Stars and he is very excited about the Standard Bank Super Cup, when the two teams will battle it out for the Super Cup Trophy.
"It is against this background that Standard Bank Namibia decided to invest a grand sum of N$3 million over a three year period to the Namibia Football Association (NFA) in hosting the Standard Bank Super Cup, we at Standard Bank Namibia are proud to be able to bring this sports spectacle to the people of Namibia as it is all about developing local soccer in our country," said Maswahu. He added by saying that the magic of soccer is all about uniting people around the game and at the same time sharpening the dribbling and scoring skills of the current local players.
Barry Rukoro, Secretary General, Namibia Football Association (NFA) thanked Standard Bank Namibia for their donations and said by doing this the bank is bringing themselves closer to the people and transporting their commercial message. "We at the NFA keep up to the high moral values that Standard Bank expects, and I wish the two clubs the best," said Rukoro.
