BBC PROMS 2011 BBC Two Wales, 9.15pm Over the past few months film music fans have been spoiled rotten with Simon Mayo and Mark Kermode hosting a knockout session by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra earlier this year, and in mid-August the recent Proms featuring the work of John Barry, David Arnold and John Williams was also a treat. This week there's a chance to savour classic scores from the Golden Age of Hollywood film musicals. John Wilson, above, conducts his handpicked, high-octane orchestra and a line-up of star soloists. Listen out for excerpts from 42nd Street, Top Hat, Strike Up the Band, Swing Time and Shall We Dance. Plus, there's a tribute to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

The Million Pound Drop Live has firmly established itself on Channel 4, and now in its fifth series, contestants know they are only eight questions away from winning a life-changing sum of money. If they take a risk they can win a fortune. Davina also has celebrities in her sights as a number of them will be popping up throughout the series playing for charity.
