SATELLITE 2010 TO REVEAL "AGENDA FOR THE COMING DECADE".
Around the globe, chief executive officers have had a tough time weathering the last 18 months, but the road ahead for satellite-enabled communications looks much brighter than it did just a year ago. In the opening general session, the satellite community's leading CEOs will address the key questions that must be answered to capitalize on the promising future. How much capacity will be enough to satisfy increasing demands for bandwidth and connectivity? What new technology innovations on both the space segment as well as ground equipment sides will keep satellite-enabled communications viable for the next few decades? What are the plans for new on-orbit assets? How will companies maintain their positions at the top of the satellite services pyramid, and what changes can we expect in 2010 and beyond for these market movers?
Moderated by Jason Bates, Editor of Via Satellite, and Scott Chase, chairman of SATELLITE 2010, the opening general session will feature panelists Romain Bausch, president and CEO of SES; Michel de Rosen, CEO of Eutelsat; Daniel Goldberg, CEO of Telesat; and David McGlade, CEO of Intelsat.
SATELLITE 2010's opening general session is open to all attendees and it is the only forum where satellite professionals can see the CEOs from the community's top four players in one panel.
The conference programming continues with sessions on the expanding opportunities in the military, broadcast, enterprise, mobile and commercial markets as well as developing creative financial solutions for the challenging marketplace. Additional session topics include comms-on-the-move, ITAR, technology adoption, hybrid solutions, hosted payloads, greening satellite communications, the increasing importance of religious broadcasters to the satellite sector, accelerating demand for aeronautical and maritime satellite services, secure bandwidth requirements for unmanned vehicles, and more.
Complementing the conference, SATELLITE 2010 will also feature more than 300 exhibitors and 15+ hours of exciting networking events. SATELLITE 2010 will be held March 15-18 at the Gaylord National Convention Center located at 201 Waterfront Street, National Harbor, Maryland.
