SARA weekend; News in brief.

EAST CLEVELAND: A popular animal charity is gearing up for Christmas with a weekend of festive events.

Saltburn Animal Rescue Association (SARA) will be holding its Christmas fair on Saturday at Marske Hall, Redcar Road, Marske, from 10am to 1pm, with sherry, mince pies, coffee and other refreshments available. There will also be a variety of stalls, including raffle, tombola, books and cakes.

And on Sunday from 2pm to 3pm, SARA's Foxrush Farm sanctuary off Kirkleatham Lane, Redcar, will hold its annual carol concert - with owners and dogs welcome. Parking will be available on the Foxrush field. The event will have refreshments and a Christmas pet stall. All proceeds will go towards SARA's Foxrush Farm sanctuary and re-homing fund.
