 DEATH PENALTY CASE BEFORE U.S. SUPREME COURT TODAY
 MIAMI, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandy D'Alemberte, an attorney with the Florida law firm of Steel Hector & Davis, will make oral arguments to the U.S. Supreme Court this morning on behalf of Leonel Torres Herrera, who faces the death penalty after being convicted in a Texas court for the murder of two law enforcement officers near the Mexican border.
 D'Alemberte, immediate past president of the American Bar Association, is arguing to allow new evidence to be introduced in the case that Herrera claims will prove his innocence.
 A ruling is expected in Leonel Torres Herrera vs. James A. Collins, director of Criminal Justice Resources next spring.
 Steel Hector & Davis has more than 150 lawyers with offices in Miami, West Palm Beach and Tallahassee.
