SANDALS RESORTS TAPS BURSON-MARSTELLER FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS COUNSEL

 NEW YORK, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandals Resorts today announced that it has appointed Burson-Marsteller to handle a range of public relations activities and marketing programs, including media relations and promotions.
 "We have experienced phenomenal growth during our 12 years in the industry," said Gordon "Butch" Stewart, chairman and CEO, Sandals Resorts. "We believe that Burson-Marsteller can provide the global resources and expertise we'll need as we continue our expansion."
 Sandals, the Caribbean's No. 1 ultra-inclusive luxury resorts for couples only, now has six properties in Jamaica, one in Antigua and newly opened resort in St. Lucia.
 Later this year, Sandals will open a resort in Barbados and a second property in St. Lucia. Plans are also underway for a property in the Bahamas and for a seventh resort in Jamaica called, "Beaches" -- Sandals' first ultra-inclusive resort for families.
 Burson-Marsteller employs more than 2,000 people in 62 offices in 29 countries worldwide.
