 SAN DIEGO SHARE PROGRAM GETS A BOOST FROM LOCAL BUSINESS
 Ad Agency Donates Time and Money to Feed 80 San Diego families
 SAN DIEGO, Dec. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- "It's amazing what you can accomplish when you all pull together," says Greg McQuerter, president of a local advertising agency that's helping to feed families during the holiday season.
 This year, in addition to their individual monetary donations of over $1,000, the agency staffers are pitching in with volunteer time at the Self-Help and Resource Exchange (SHARE) warehouse, bagging food for distribution at local host centers.
 "With a staff of 18 people, we're not exactly a 'big' corporation, but through our concerted efforts, we hope to make a big difference in the community," says McQuerter.
 According to Jeff Meyers, community development specialist for SHARE San Diego, the agency's contributions will be used primarily to help families with children. "Through the SHARE program, you can purchase a $35 food package for only $13. For each package, you're also asked to give two hours to a community service project. But when you have children to care for it can be hard to find enough time for the community service.
 "By covering both the cost of the food and the volunteer time, McQuerter Group is making life a lot easier for these families. I hope it serves as an inspiration to other small businesses in San Diego," says Meyers.
 SHARE is a worldwide non-profit organization founded in San Diego eight years ago and headquartered at 3350 'E' St. SHARE distribution centers are located at various schools, churches and other sites throughout the county.
