SAHARA RESORTS DONATES $1,000 FOR FLOOD RELIEF FUND

 LAS VEGAS, Aug. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Sahara Resorts (NYSE: SAH; NASDAQ: SHRE), a Las Vegas hotel and casino company, made a donation of $1,000 to the American Red Cross' MO/KAN (Missouri & Kansas) Flood Relief Fund. The donation was made on the local area telethon to benefit local flood victims. The presentation was made by Andre Carrier, project manager of the proposed Sahara Casino in Parkville, Mo.
 Carrier said that the Sahara family has been so moved by the outpouring of support by the literally thousands of volunteers who came out to try and save Parkville. He went on to say: "Even in the face of this current damage, we at Sahara are so very excited about both the future of our project and the future of Parkville. We are excited that we will be bringing tourists into this area so that they might experience the spirit of the people of Parkville."
 Sahara Resorts/Sahara Casino Partners is a hotel, gaming and entertainment company that owns and operates four major hotel/casino properties in Southern Nevada. It is a publicly traded company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (SAH) and NASDAQ (SHRE). Paul Lowden, the company's president and chairman, has led the growth of the company from a single 400-room hotel/casino to an organization with almost 4,000 employees, an inventory of 3,794 hotel rooms and suites, 18 restaurants, numerous beverage operations, two major show rooms featuring name entertainment and production shows and approximately 170,000 square feet of total gaming area.
