Quiznos Sub, America's fast-growing sandwich shop chain, has appointed the commercial real estate services firm Sutton & Edwards Inc. / TCN Worldwide as its exclusive broker for Long Island and New York City.

The Long Island-based firm has been Quiznos' exclusive broker since November for Staten Island and Westchester County and based upon the success in these two markets. Quiznos has decided to turn over additional development areas.

The assignment, from the restaurant chain's area developer, is being handled by Sutton & Edwards Associate Neil Friedland in the Bronx and Westchester. Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island are being handled by Sutton & Edwards Director Arnold Wideletz and Director Brian Boker.

Sutton & Edwards Director Tess Marulis and Associate Melissa Naeder are handling Nassau and Suffolk. In Manhattan Sutton & Edwards has partnered with Murray Hill Properties / TCN Worldwide.

Within New York City, Quiznos operates five units in Brooklyn, seven in Queens, three in Staten Island and 12 in Manhattan.

The chain also has 22 units in Nassau County and 14 in Suffolk County. There are six units in Westchester County.

The chain will consider sites of 1,000 to 1,200 s/f in shopping centers and strip centers with strong daytime traffic. The Sutton & Edwards team is currently developing a market plan for the chain.

Quiznos Sub, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, has more than 4,000 locations worldwide. Best known for toasting its signature sub sandwiches, this quick-service restaurant is a leader in the upscale sandwich category.
