Russian filter materials available.

A Russian technical institute has released information regarding its "Porofil" line of filter materials. PSF-G-10/101, with polysulfonate fibers, was developed for the fine filtration of highly dispersed particles from gases and is designed for use as a bacterial filter, primarily in the food processing, medical and microbiology industries. It is resistant to nitric and hydrochloric acids, alkalies, alcohols and sulfuric acid (up to 60%) and can withstand multiple steam sterilizations up to 120 [degrees] C.

Another filter, PVC-Zh-5/206, was developed for removal of suspended particles larger than five microns from solutions for the preparation of medicine and aqueous solutions. A polymeric material with a high filtering coefficient is also available for use with respiratory equipment.
