Russian Federation : ANO API assists more than 20 investment projects for the construction of ports in the Far East.

The Agency of the Far East for attracting investments and supporting exports (ANO API) accompanies more than 20 investment projects for the construction of ports in the Far East. This was announced at the IV forum Port Infrastructure: New Construction, Renovation, Modernization, said Roman Sementsov, Director for Transport and Logistics Infrastructure of the Investment Projects Department of the Far East Agency for Investment Attraction and Export Support.

The Far East is, in fact, a quarter of the total transshipment volume of the ports of our country or more than 200 million tons of cargo in 2018. If you look at the nomenclature of the goods, then almost half is coal transportation. We see that the volume of such shipments is steadily growing, which objectively affects the existing high level of port utilization. Investments are going to the port industry, more than 20 investment projects have already been announced, the Agency of the Far East for attracting investments and export support accompanies the implementation of these projects, said Roman Sementsov.

He noted that new projects are stimulating the development of the Northern Sea Route. The volume of cargo transported along the Northern Sea Route should increase by 2024 to 80 million tons. Such a task is in the Presidential Decree and is provided for by the Comprehensive Plan for the modernization and expansion of trunk infrastructure. Two projects will contribute to the increase in cargo volume - the creation of a marine transshipment complex of liquefied natural gas in the Bechevinskaya Bay of the Kamchatka Territory and the development of one of the world's largest copper deposits, Peschanka, in the Baim ore zone in the Chukotka Autonomous Region, he explained.

The state provides substantial support to the investor and the development of the port industry in the Far East. These are preferential regimes - TORs and SPV (Free Port of Vladivostok), targeted state infrastructure support. The development of ports in the Far East is a very important element of the regions future growth, the potential is huge. Support for infrastructure and logistics projects is one of the central areas of our Agency. We, as an institute for the development of the Far East, are ready to provide all the necessary support for the investor at every stage of its implementation - from the investment idea, preparation of documents, selection of the site, obtaining state support to the implementation and further development of the project. IPA, in the process of implementation, actively interacts with other development institutions:

It should be noted that last year alone, more than 800 billion rubles were attracted to the Far East in private investment in 101 investment projects and more than 73 billion rubles were invested in the cumulative total.
