Russian Federation : A cultural forum dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Tula Kremlin was held in Tula.

March 13, 2018 in the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Tula Kremlin held a Cultural Forum. Alexey Dyumin, Governor of the Tula Region, Alla Manilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Sergey Rybakov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture, Natalia Pilyus, State Duma Committee on Culture, directors of regional and federal museums attended the plenary session.

Before the beginning of the plenary session, Alla Manilova took part in the opening of the exhibition "The Historical Role of the Great Fence in the Formation of the Russian Statehood." She noted that the cultural forum in Tula has been going on for the second year already. Alla Manilova reported that the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation together with the Ministry of Culture of the Tula region developed a historical and cultural tourist route "Zasechnaya Cherta". The route is included in the national program of children's tourism, which is implemented on behalf of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

Welcoming the participants of the event, Alexey Dyumin noted that the regional government pays great attention to the preservation of the cultural heritage of the region, including the restoration of the historical appearance of our small towns.

"The primary goal is to preserve the historical center of the capital of the region - Tula. This is a complex, complex task. The results of our efforts are already visible. The center of the city is changing: historical buildings are being restored, new museums are being opened, "the head of the region underlined.

Alexei Dyumin also stressed that, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation in the Tula region, a series of events is being held to celebrate in the year 2020 the 500th anniversary of the Tula Kremlin as the beginning of the creation of the Big Zasechnaya Line. This unique defensive system included the city-outposts, which became militant milestones on the outskirts of the capital of our state.

Deputy of the State Duma Natalia Pilyus in her greeting noted the role of folk crafts:

"The outstanding work of Russian defense architecture of the early 16th century plays an important role in the emergence and development of the traditional Tula craft - the manufacture and decoration of weapons. Since the Kremlin was a fortified camp, where the highest power was in the hands of the commander-military commanders, and the population was accounted for in accordance with garrison statutes, and anyone who could carry arms was listed as a warrior, weapons played an important identification role.

In the second half of the 16th century, to protect the southern borders of the Moscow State, a large zashchka was created. It passed through the territory of the present Kaluga, Tula, Moscow, Orel, Belgorod and Ryazan regions. According to historians, the completion of the construction of the Tula Kremlin in 1520 and the beginning of the creation of the Great Zasechnaya Line was of key importance in the history of Russia, the formation and development of its statehood. The defense system, headed by Tula, concentrated in itself the most important innovations, which for centuries predetermined the ways of strengthening the country's defense capability. "

Today in Tula, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, a lot of work is being done. So, the museum-exhibition complex of the Tula Kremlin was opened. It created two new expositions, dedicated to the history of the Tula Kremlin and the military history of the Tula region.

In the Kremlin it is planned to create two stationary expositions. One of them will be devoted to the history of the Kremlin towers, the other - to archeology. Its exhibits will be artifacts found in the historic center of the city.

Also this year it is planned to restore seven objects of cultural heritage in Tula and other settlements that were part of the Great Zasechnoye Line - Belev, Krapivna, Aleksin, Bogoroditsk, Dubna. These funds are provided for by federal and regional budgets.

For the reconstruction of the historical environment, six municipalities have developed projects and prepared applications for participation in the All-Russian competition for the improvement of small towns and historic settlements, conducted at the initiative of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

In the region there is also a regional competition to create brands of small towns. Then the guests inspected the exhibition, which presents the projects of future museum expositions of the Kremlin, as well as the work of the small cities brand competition.
